What Are The Most Common Bills Associated With Renting An Apartment?

I am planning on moving into my first apartment this year, and I am trying to get a good estimate of what costs will be associated with renting (besides the actual rent obviously) – any renters out there who can give me an idea of what bills you pay?

    When I was in an apartment, I had following bills: renter’s insurance, electric, oil (heat), cable (tv), water, phone, Internet, the monthly rental fee. I did not have to pay for garbage or sewer, but some tenants may have to.

    It depends if anything is included in the rent. If nothing is, you will have water, electric, gas, and then cable/internet and maybe a house phone if you want that. Most complexes don’t charge you for trash service, that is included. And some even include water in their rent.If it’s just you, you can likely keep the gas/electric/water fairly low…with the crazy prices of cable, you can keep the 3 combined to about the cost of the entire cable bill!

    gas&electric=120 per month
    water = 60 every three months (some owners pay this)
    phone&cable&internet= 150 per month
    insurance= 10 per month
    rent= 600 for 750 square feet
